Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua is seeking a Urology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Minocqua, Wisconsin. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient services under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant License in the State of Wisconsin. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach to healthcare.

In this role, you will assist with a busy Urology practice alongside two physicians and a Physician Assistant. This position will see patients in clinic as well as assist in the OR. Call will be a part of this role at a rotation of 1:7 and will include all surgery specialties.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

For Nurse Practitioner's - Completion of a master's, postmaster's, or doctorate from an nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice.

For Physician Assistant's - Master's or Baccalaureate degree. Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors. Successful completion of the national certifying examination and current certification given by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
