We are seeking a patient focused Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our highly skilled team. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative group of physicians, in a well established, fast paced, academic environment at our Level 1 Trauma center in downtown Indianapolis. This is a busy practice with room to grow and expand services. Leadership opportunities are available as well!

Job Duties:

• Cardiovascular Surgery for adult cardiac surgical patients
• Procedures include CABG, Valve Replacement, TAVR, TEVAR, Valve Repair and Aortic
• 75% inpatient/25% outpatient role - 1:4 call schedule
• Support, and contribute to a growing practice with highly collaborative and interdependent processes in place for successful patient outcomes
• Full-time position and academic / clinical rank will commensurate with experience
• Residents will rotate on this service

Basic Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates must have M.D., DO, or equivalent education
• Completed a thoracic surgery fellowship
• American BC/BE in Surgery
• Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Collaborate and successfully interact with a multi-disciplinary team to promote high-quality patient outcomes.
• Requires excellent interpersonal skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.
