Position Summary:
Accountable for the delivery of quality pharmaceutical services, the Clinical Staff Pharmacist utilizes professional knowledge, experience, and skills to provide safe and effective drug therapy. Complies with regulatory agency standards such as CMS Core Measures, Joint Commission standards, state and federal jurisprudence and participatesin quality improvement programs. Supervises technical support staff by ensuring efficient resource utilization and corrects medication dispensing when checked.The pharmacist checks dosage adjustments of the medication ordered and administration methods asestablished in policies and procedures. Has the ability to think and act independently and provide medication recommendations, as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
Ability to meet minimum hospital hiring standards
Residency training or Board Certification preferred
2 years of hospital pharmacist experience preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s of Science or Doctor of Pharmacydegree from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
Active WA Pharmacist license in good standing
AHA Healthcare BLS
Pharmacist Preceptor License preferred
ACLS training and experience preferred
