Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to lead a growing group in Boise, Idaho. 

Saint Alphonsus is a principal provider of evidence-based, interdisciplinary behavioral health services within the region. Our outpatient practice offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for most emotional and interpersonal problems for children, adolescents, and adults. Psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions are provided via a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Enjoy a spacious, recently renovated clinic setting adjacent to the campus of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (just 10 minutes from downtown Boise). 

The schedule for this opportunity is a traditional workweek, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with .8 FTE Clinical and .2 FTE Administrative. No call, no weekends, no inpatient work. 

Requirements for this opportunity include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Psychiatry residency program;    Board certification through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP) - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment; obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA; and granting of privileges at SARMC.

We are open to an Adult Psychiatrist or a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for this opening. 

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess and treat a diverse adult and geriatric outpatient population with a wide variety of mental health disorders, the ability to work well with a collegial multidisciplinary team and the desire to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
