Join a small dedicated team of professionals in a Partial Hospitalization Program that serves adolescents aged 13-17. This is one of only three programs in Washington State that provides this type of service to Medicaid patients. This is a new program that will provide growth opportunities, particularly for incumbents with interest in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.Position SummaryThe Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessment, consultation, therapeutic interventions, and referrals for patients and families in relation to psychosocial and mental health aspects of medical management. This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are varied, non-routine, typically high stress, and involve complex issues. This position requires organization, analysis, interpretation of information from multiple sources, and the use of discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Internal contacts include all levels of staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, community agencies, and other care facilities.Minimum RequirementsExperience working in a hospital/acute situation or equivalent social service agency, experience relative to the medical social work function required. Experience working with adolescents age 13-17 preferred. Education/Licenses/CertificationsMaster's Degree in Social Work Note: Current MHS Interns who are within three (3) months of their Master's Degree may also be consideredLSWAIC (Licensed Social Work Associate/Independent Clinical) requiredLICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) preferredTraining in Dialectical Behavior Therapy preferred, or willingness to become certified.
