JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Pharmacy Programs provides for the overall planning and program management of auxiliary operations for an assigned pharmacy area, ensuring achievement of short- and long-range strategic goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Establishes and implements short- and long-range strategic goals, targets, plans and policies.
Monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness and implements changes as necessary.
Develops and implements pharmaceutical care activities that are patient-centered and improve business outcomes.
Ensures adherence to timelines, scope and goals of program activities.
Provides monitoring, tracking and reporting on the execution of initiatives and identifies program risks and opportunities.
Develops data-guided metrics to identify gaps and implements interventions to improve results on key performance measures. Evaluates, reviews, forecasts and trends complex data.
Oversees and participates in collection of data and the preparation and submission of applicable reports to guide program activities; creates and maintains relevant files and databases.
Monitors and manages vendor relationships and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, contractual agreements and billing policies.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Advanced knowledge of Pharmacy Care modalities, terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, terminology, drug use and aseptic techniques, standards and equipment.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical operations.
Ability to make operational judgments around how work gets done - quality and productivity standards, measurable goals for employees and project teams, etc.
Ability to use broader aims to establish how best to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
Ability to make or approve effective hiring and termination.
Ability to evaluate and recommend changes to policies, and establish procedures that affect the managed organization.
Basic business knowledge, including but not limited to: annual planning and goal setting, adherence to budgets, employee compensation, compliance and risk management.
General computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation and email.

QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- EXPERIENCE - 4 Years of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
Pharmacy Technician (PHT): Pharmacy Tech license through the TX Board of Pharmacy
and
Maintain PTCB/NHA Certification OR possess associated skillset.
