The incumbent serves as a Clinical Pharmacist in the Office of Quality Management to provide oversight of the appropriate prescribing, dispensing. administration, ordering, and inventory control of all narcotics and other controlled substances dispensed at the Birmingham VA Health Care System (BVAHCS), and the clinical review and analysis of all Adverse Drug Events (to include adverse drug reactions and medication errors) associated with Medication Management Processes. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
