The Pharmacy Messenger shall perform non-judgmental aspects of transferring and delivering medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. He/she shall complete projects assigned by the Pharmacy Technician Manager, Pharmacy Technician Supervisor or Director of Pharmacy in a timely manner. He/she shall maintain an ethical, professional behavior that ensures efficient, accurate, timely distribution and control of medications dispensed through the hospital. He/she shall reflect and maintain a good attitude representing the pharmacy department as well as the entire hospital.

Possess a proficient level of computer, verbal/written communications, and ability to prioritize is required. Able to effectively read, write, and speak English fluently. Able-bodied to transport medications throughout all patient care areas on a recurrent and periodic schedule. 

• Ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimal supervision
• Proficient level of computer and verbal/written skills to communicate clearly and effectively with pharmacist, physicians and other allied health professionals.
• Ability to transport medications and deliver floor stock through all patient care areas on a recurrent and periodic schedule.

 Preferred:

•  Previous experience as a Pharmacy Messenger.
