Position Summary

This position oversees the daily activities of the medication management process and provides comprehensive pharmacy services to patients from neonate to young adulthood while performing the duties of a registered pharmacist as defined by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This position also ensures compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations as well as proper storage and documentation. This position reports directly to the Manager, Pharmacy Operations who oversees daily staffing and operations.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (BS) or Doctorate Degree (Pharm.D.) in Pharmacy or graduating from an accredited school or college of pharmacy in the next 6 months. (Required)
• Completion of a post graduate year 1 (PGY-1) pharmacy residency program accredited by ASHP. (Preferred)

Experience

• One year experience in a hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent. (Preferred)
• Experience with information systems and automated and technical equipment. (Required)
• One year previous pediatric patient population experience or equivalent. (Preferred)

Certifications

• Current licensure as a Pharmacist or eligible, either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. (Required)
• Current BLS or PALS or ACLS for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (Preferred)

Special Skills

• Experience with various types of computer software, including MS Office Suite or equivalent. (Required)
