This position is responsible for assisting the pharmacist by performing preparatory and manipulative tasks required in compounding and dispensing medications. The pharmacist under his /her supervision may lawfully delegate these tasks. In addition, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy.

Possesses the skills and knowledge necessary to assist the pharmacist in distributive and clerical functions. Good communication skills and experience with computerized pharmacy systems necessary.

• Pharmacy technician training and hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Certification from the California State Board of Pharmacy required.
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR required.
