Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to lead a growing group in Boise, Idaho. 

Saint Alphonsus is a principal provider of evidence-based, interdisciplinary behavioral health services within the region. Our outpatient practice offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for most emotional and interpersonal problems for children, adolescents, and adults. Psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions are provided via a multidisciplinary treatment team.

The practice includes one physician, one APP and one clinical psychologist and is part of a multi-specialty network of 70+ Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Primary Care and Specialty Clinics. Enjoy a spacious, recently renovated clinic setting with neighboring inpatient services at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

The schedule for this opportunity is a traditional workweek, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with .8 FTE Clinical and .2 FTE Administrative. There are no call responsibilities.

Requirements for this opportunity include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Psychiatry residency program;    Board certification through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP) - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment; obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA; and granting of privileges at SARMC.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess and treat a diverse adult and geriatric outpatient population with a wide variety of mental health disorders, the ability to work well with a collegial multidisciplinary team and the desire to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
