OptumCare Anesthesia has an exciting opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist Las Vegas. This is an employed position. The Anesthesiologist plans, provides and administrates for all aspects of preoperative care, evaluation and management in the dealing of Anesthesia in preoperative, intraoperative and post-operative environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia for general surgical cases, orthopedics, Urology, ENT, Neurosurgery, some pediatric, plastic and gynecological cases. No OB or open heart. Assessment of, consultation for, and preparation of patients for anesthesia
- Relief and prevention of pain during and following surgical, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
- Supervise, teach and evaluate performance of personnel, both medical and paramedical, involved in preoperative care

Required Qualifications:
- Must be board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the State of Nevada or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Must have a valid DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment
- You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role
- Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.

Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $388,400 to $508,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
