Respiratory Therapist Residency Program at AdventHealth Connerton

Work Hours/Shift:

For the 13 week RT Residency Program you will be required to work 20 hours per week, which will include one 12 hour precepted clinical shift per week and one 8 hour didactic shift per week.

What you will need:

Application:

• Application period opens December 1, 2020 and closes December 31, 2020
• Interview process is January 4-15, 2021.
• Application selection completed by January 20, 2021 Applicant will be notified.  
• Graduate Respiratory Therapy program begins on Feb 18, 2021 completed August 23, 2021.               
• Welcome to the Residency program to begin on February 18, 2021.
• Program will marry one RT resident per preceptor for one 12-hr shift per week.
• Residents will attend one 8-hr didactical class here at Connerton instructed by Danitza Acevedo RRT.

 

Requirements:

• CRT graduate from a Respiratory program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
• Active Florida CRT License
• 2 letters of recommendation, 1 must be from the RT program director or clinical leader.
• Must work under the guidance of a Connerton RT preceptor that you are assigned to.

Graduate RT benefits:  

• $1,000 graduation bonus to all qualified Residency Graduate CRT therapist hired into the residency program.
• $1,500 bonus paid to all qualified CRT residence once the RRT is completed. RRT License obtained within 6 months of CRT hire date.
• Sign a 2-year commitment to Connerton.
• Formal orientation to AdventHealth Connerton.
• Critical Care experience.
