Position Summary Under direct supervision of the Medication Authorization Supervisor, the Medication Authorization Specialist interacts with pharmacists, medical/clinical staff, revenue cycle personnel, patient access services staff including financial advocates, and coding staff. External contacts include third party payers, prescription benefit management companies, governmental peer review organizations, and referring physicians.
