The Department of Radiation Medicine at Northwell Health seeks a board-eligible/certified radiation oncologist with a start date of January 1st, 2022 for our growing program in the western region of the health system located at Staten Island University Hospital. This physician will join the 1 established senior radiation oncologist, continuing to grow this expanding program. In this role, the successful candidate will be involved with research and teaching and be a candidate for academic appointment at the visionary Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies commensurate with experience and CV.
The candidate should have experience with external beam, SBRT, LDR and HDR brachytherapy.
The Department of Radiation Medicine is one of the largest in the NY metro area treating >275 patients daily. The residency program is recognized by Doximity as the second ranked program in NY State. We are recognized for having developed a novel safety culture framed around Smarter Radiation Oncology®. Candidates must have have completed an accredited radiation oncology residency and be board eligible or certified.
