This position will provide gender - affirming behavioral health therapy and case management services to transgender or gender diverse patients and their families.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct all modes of therapy for adolescent (age 14+) and adult transgender/gender diverse individuals (individual, family, group, multi-family groups.
Complete gender - affirming hormone evaluations when requested by providers within the system (i.e. endocrinology)
Assist patients in resourcing gender - affirming surgical providers based on need and insurance coverage.
Complete gender - affirming surgical support letters for surgeons and insurance companies. Interface with surgeons and caregivers as needed for patients seeking gender related surgeries. Resource "second" surgical support letters for patients
Complete I.D. documentation for patients (birth certificate, passport, state I.D, social security) when requested
Triage gender wellness telephone calls and emails : Assess patient needs: referrals for gender - affirming services inside and outside ChristianaCare, referrals to community resources, provide psychoeducation as needed to callers

DE LCSW license or ability to receive reciprocity for clinical license from another state
