JOB SUMMARY Plays a key role in consulting with administration, operations and clinical areas across the healthcare system on operational issues including process improvement, staffing and workflow. Designs/Conducts studies to evaluate processes and provides recommendations on improvements. Coordinates and facilitates process improvement initiatives from administrative and other idea source areas. Extracts and representations for presentation and dissemination, i.e., turns raw data into information for decision-making.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE CONSULTS WITH ADMINISTRATION, OPERATIONS AND CLINICAL AREAS ACROSS THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM ON OPERATIONAL ISSUES INCLUDING PROCESS IMPROVEMENT, STAFFING AND WORKFLOW.
Conducts and interprets operational processes, workflow and/or staffing patterns' studies to evaluate and provide recommendation for improvements.
Extracts and manipulates data to create reports and visual presentations
Provides presentations as identified to various groups on projects' findings, analysis and/or recommendations
Disseminates accurate data and information in a timely manner
COORDINATES AND FACILITATES PROCESS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES FROM ADMINISTRATIVE AND OTHER IDEA SOURCE AREAS
Oversees the facilitation and coordination of project team meetings to insure progress toward overall objectives is occurring within planned timeframes.
Provides training as appropriate on sessions such as data analysis, interpretation, process improvements, accreditation and communication.
UTILIZES INTERNAL/EXTERNAL SOURCES TO COLLECT INFORMATION AND CREATES WRITTEN REPORTS AND VISUAL REPRESENTATIONS FOR PRESENTATION AND DISSEMINATION.
Accesses and analyzes internal information systems and electronic information from external sources.
Identifies and contacts other resources in the organization for achieving assigned project/program goals.
Involved with outside sources or organizations including IS vendors and service providers.
PERFORMS OTHER POSITION APPROPRIATE DUTIES AS REQUIRED IN A COMPETENT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS MANNER.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS Excellent analytical skills required. Proficient verbal and written communication skills required. Strong PC skills required.
