We are seeking two Revenue Cycle Application Analysts to join the Patient Revenue Support Team in the Division of Patient Revenue at MSK.

The Division of Patient Revenue is made up of many teams which each play a meaningful role in ensuring the billing cycle for both professional and institutional services runs efficiently for both our patients and our providers.We support the Revenue Cycle Management Technical Operations by providing direct support and oversight to a suite of applications including athenaIDX (VM/HPA/BAR/ETM/TES), ClaimsManager, 3M and Patientkeeper. A primary focus of our group is facilitating the successful and timely posting of charges, billing of claims/statements and posting of payments. We are a small but highly skilled and hard-working team in search for a new members to join our team.

The Application Analyst's function is to craft business requirements and provide in-house consulting for review, upgrade and development of data delivery solutions for the user community. Additionally, you are required to work on multiple projects with growing complexity that includes financial applications in a production environment, customized in-house applications and vendor front-end products used in a multi-platform environment.

You will:
  • Analyze application issues for current and new systems.
  • Lead or participates in the design of program and technical specifications for in-house and/or vendor applications that may include data flow, and data storage design.
  • Development of application specifications for upgrades, improvements and new implementations of programs that collaborate with other applications/databases to meet sophisticated business requirements.
  • Conduct applications testing; ensures quality of the applications provided to users on assigned focus. Performs systems and coordinated test plans on assigned projects.
  • Maintain business specification documentation on assigned applications.
You need:
  • 3 - 5 years of supporting a revenue cycle application software.
  • Experience or understanding of SDLC
  • Experience with athenaIDX strongly preferred but not required
  • Bachelors Degree in a business related program or healthcare or experience in lieu of degree
