Chief of Anesthesiology opportunity with Loan Repayment at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Wichita, KS

Position Information

The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center is seeking to add a Chief of Anesthesiology to Join our team.  This opportunity offers Loan Repayment and Recruitment / Relocation incentives.  Come and Practice Patient Centered Care while enjoying an excellent work life balance and the unmatched satisfaction of providing for our Nation’s Heroes.  The Chief of Anesthesia Service is the senior leader with responsibility for the overall performance of the Anesthesia unit, including resource management and budget and positions.  You will be a key member of the clinical leadership and report directly to the Chief of Staff.  The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level 2 facility located in Wichita, Kansas. Wichita is the largest city in Kansas with a metropolitan population of 500,000. The Medical Center serves Veterans living in 59 counties of the state. The Medical Center also operates six Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Hays, Salina, Hutchinson, Dodge City, Liberal, and Parsons.

The Medical Center is a primary and secondary care facility. It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, secondary care, and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, cardiology, neurology, oncology, dentistry, visual impairment and low vision rehabilitation, spinal cord dysfunction, TBI, polytrauma, pain management, PTSD, homeless, MHICM, prosthetic laboratory/orthotics, and extended care services.
