We have a need for a dedicated resource to be accountable for resource management of technology resources at MSK including both full time, contingent time & material resources. The scope of responsibility will cover the strategic oversight of 1500+ positions within DigiTs, including accounting of the current filled and vacant position banks, and management of existing positions as well as incoming requests. This role will also handle the management and reporting of 250+ IT positions outside of the DigITs organization in Departmental IT groups.
Owning the requirements of resource management across DigITS including strategic guidance and mentorship on program direction
Working with managers to understand, rationalize, and translate role requests to senior leadership
Collaborating with managers, HR, and Workday to create a seamless and timely process for requisitioning against approved positions
Developing management reports and reviewing weekly / monthly resource reports
Track positions, vacancy banks, and changes that occur to effect both
Identify positions that were created outside of the approved positions; handle the administrative work required to switch unapproved positions to approved positions, when appropriate
Provide accurate reporting of number of staff hired and turned over.
Manage contingent T&M FTEs; including distinguishing between SOW or Access Only personnel.
Provide weekly & transparency into FTE actuals billed and comparison against budgets
Tracking the recruiting activities and providing visibility into the current recruiting pipeline, identifying and handling slow downs in recruiting
Working with the Platform Managers to help them handle staffing levels on each initiative
Overseeing and maintaining cost center allocations for all positions, including working with talent home and work home managers, PMs, and RTEs to ensure updates are reviewed on a quarterly basis
Coordinating position budgets in Strata, including ensuring positions financials by external Departments have budgeted for the DigITs controlled positions
Help with shifting FTEs across the organization when situations come up (note: this is specific to moving FTEs from external Depts to DigITs)
Guide automation of position control activities, with input and support from others
Other activities, as needed, related to position control across technology resources within MSK
Work with the position control and intake function to execute.
Solid understanding of tools such as Workday, Cognos, Strata or other financial/project management programs
Difficult conversations with all levels of leadership and are comfortable with adversity
Acted as a consultative partner and a broker, when appropriate, to understand requirements for position shifts
Experience working with HR, Financial, or IT Teams.
Conducted reports, tracked information, and translated to business users across a multi-disciplinary organization
Roll-out thoughtful communication plans to teams to support efforts
