As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will be an integral part of the patient's Banner experience looking to provide each person with the best customer service and patient care. When assisting patients directly, you will be rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, and updating patient electronic medical records accurately and timely. When not providing direct patient care, you may also provide additional support to our office/administrative staff throughout the clinic. This could include answering phones, checking in patients, scheduling appointments, following up with referrals, ordering supplies, stocking rooms, etc. All Uncertified Medical Assistants must be able to obtain national certification within their first six months of employment. Certification must be completed from one of the following agencies: AMT, AAMA, NHA, or NCCT. BLS is also required. Some of the BUMG-Phoenix clinics currently hiring for qualified Medical Assistants are: Women's Institute Family Medicine Clinic Bariatric Clinic Endocrinology Clinic Other clinics in the BUMG-Phoenix family include (but are not limited to): Heart Institute, Digestive Health, Toxicology, Internal Medicine, Behavioral Health, Ortho & Sport Medicine Clinic, Infectious Disease, Lung Institute, Rheumatology, Endoscopy, Musculoskeletal, Concussion Clinic, Integrated Surgery, Urology, Oral Maxillofacial surgery, Advanced Liver Disease Clinic, Trauma Services, and Advanced Heart Failure Clinic. These clinics may have openings that you could be considered for in the near future. All of these clinics are located within walking distance to the Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix (located near 12th and McDowell). While the start and end times can vary slightly, most of the shifts are full time (40 hours/week), day shift positions: Monday-Friday 8A-5P being the most common.
