Summary:
The EP Lab Tech contributes to quality patient care by preparing for, operating equipment and assisting the Electrophysiologist/Cardiologist during various invasive Electrophysiology/Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. Assist in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias specializing in the care of patients undergoing EP studies, device implants and ablations.
Must have EP/Electrophysiology experience.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: Completion of formal two year radiologic technology training in AMA approved school which meets requirements for registry by the ARRT

Preferred Education: RCES or HRS Cert

Minimum Experience: Three years clinical. EP/Electrophysiology experience required.
Preferred Experience: On Year Cardiac Cath Lab and/or EP Lab.

Required Certification/Licensure: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration and CRT.
Current BLS/ACLS.

Required Course Training: ACLS Cert required upon hire.

Preferred Certification/Registration: Must obtain RCES or equivalent within 2 yrs.

Special Skills: Scrub diagnostic, complex ablation and device implant procedures. Monitor hemodynamics and charting. Pace and record for EPS.
