Department Description The Department of Pharmaceutical Services at UCSF has long been nationally recognized as one of the founding fathers for clinical pharmacy services, which was established in 1965. Today, the department continues to lead the profession through the integration of advanced technology & robotics, comprehensive pharmaceutical care and clinical services. The Department of Pharmacy includes approximately 275 FTE and an annual operating budget of over $1 billion. The department provides services at the four main campuses (Parnassus, Mission Bay, Benioff Oakland and Mt. Zion) as well as working with affiliates and in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Job Summary The Pharmacy 340B Manager is responsible for managing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of contracted 340B programs, policies, and procedures to maximize gross profit and sales, and maximize efficiency of 340B pharmacy operations, supporting 340B activities in acquisitions, other business units, and expanding healthcare services. Creates and communicates processes, procedures, new plans, training information while ensuring compliance with government program and contractual commitments. Responsible for reviewing and analyzing current, past and new business opportunities for compliance. Responsible for monitoring changes in government program requirements and designing changes in our technology, processes, and policy to meet such changes. Ensures data integrity and takes corrective actions when necessary.
Required Qualifications * Five years related experience * Current State of California licensed Pharmacist; or within six months * PharmD Degree * Experience working with 340B Program * Knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting university resources * Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across the organization at all levels; ability to interact with diverse populations * Client services oriented; good listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing * Ability to multi-task * The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
Preferred Qualifications * Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate * Comprehensive knowledge of finance and budget policies, practices and systems; budgeting and reporting techniques; fund accounting; human resource planning; accounting and bookkeeping
Licensure/Certification * Current State of California licensed Pharmacist; or within six months

Work Environment * Keeps working areas neat, orderly and clutter-free, including the hallways. Adheres to cleaning processes and puts things back where they belong. Removes and reports broken equipment and furniture. * Picks up and disposes of any litter found throughout entire facility. * Posts flyers and posters in designated areas only; does not post on walls, doors or windows. * Knows where the Environment of Care Manual is kept in department; corrects or reports unsafe conditions to the appropriate departments. * Protects the physical environment and equipment from damage and theft. The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations is required.
