In collaboration with Pharmacy Services and Information Services, Pharmacist Informatics Specialist participates in the analysis, design, implementation, education, and support of computer application systems (i.e. Epic, PACMed, Carousels, Robot, Pyxis, etc.); determines business requirements and user needs in developing solutions.
Responsible for the maintenance of 340B technology systems and identifying opportunities for 340B Program optimization through the review of split bill saving report, identification of items that are contributing to WAC losses, and investigation the reason for a WAC purchases. Participates in self- and external-audits for the 340B Program on a scheduled basis including data collection, analysis, and recommendations for corrective action
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
Two years of IS-related experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (i.e. Epic, Pearl, McKesson, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts, GE Healthcare, etc), or has pharmacy informatics residency or fellowship training
Experience building and implementing EMR protocols in a multi-facility hospital and clinic environment
Current licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Texas
