The Pharmacy Finance Compliance Analyst oversees the day-to-day operations of the billing and 340B pharmacy program system-wide, works with affected pharmacy personnel to address finacial and 340B matters, helps to define and accomplish program goals and objectives, helps to enforce related policies and procedures, determines standards of quality and excellence, and ensures on-going compliance with CMS/BCBS/HRSA/OPA and all state and federal statutes related to the 340b program. This analyst a will also work with system pharmacy leadership to analyze and explore opportunities to improve overall pharmacy financial performance. This will include achieving departmental budget targets for drug expense, contract compliance, revenue cycle, inventory management and 3rd party audits. This position also helps provide insight and evaluation into pharmaceutical company patient assistance programs and assists in finding ways to optimize these programs' impacts.
The Pharmacy Compliance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial management, compliance review, and operations of 340B eligible clinic-administered medications in eligible locations, mixed-use areas managed by split-billing software, outpatient prescription fulfilled by owned or 340b contract pharmacies. Serves as primary internal and external program expert and liaison for all financial compliance and 340B Program requirements. Provides oversight and leadership from the department of Pharmacy for revenue management and 340B Program. Helps lead and assist the organization's 340B oversight team, which includes representation from pharmacy, legal, compliance, finance, and senior administration. Develops and maintains internal relationships (accounting, legal, national) and external relationships (wholesalers, manufacturers, contract pharmacies, split-billing software vendors, employee benefit pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs), and third-party administrator (TPA) vendors) as needed. Actively engages with senior leadership and participates in decision-making processes related to the implementation of new 340B
Finance Compliance Analyst:Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or healthcare management required; MBA or CPA preferred; 1-2 years of healthcare or pharmacy experience and hospital billing experience preferred. Registration (or eligible for registration) with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician preferred. Have excellent knowledge of MS office programs, ability to easily learn new technologies and computer software programs; Have excellent datamining and analytical skills Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to prioritize and multi-task and/or change tasks frequently and quickly; Demonstrates successful time management skills; Able to independently problem solve, organize workload, accomplish goals and objectives and meet deadlines.
Compliance Manager: B.S., PharmD (Pharmacist) or MS/MBA (non-Pharmacist). 1-3 years experience managing 340B programs in mixed use setting preferrable, 340B University advance certification within 3 months in position required.Ability to easily learn new technologies and computer software programs; Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to prioritize and multi-task and/or change tasks frequently and quickly; Demonstrates successful time management skills; Able to independently problem solve, organize workload, accomplish goals and objectives and meet deadlines; Knowledge of 340B statutes, compliance, guidelines, and policies, CMS/Medicaid, and reimbursement; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Access, Word and mastery of Excel
