Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Penn Highlands Healthcare in Dubois, Pennsylvania, to assist in their recruitment efforts for their inaugural System Director, Retail Pharmacy and Services.
The System Director of Retail Pharmacy and Services is responsible for leading the planning, development and implementation of strategic initiatives in retail pharmacy operations, including outpatient pharmacy, speciality pharmacy, central fill, mail order and call center areas. The system is committed to growing retail pharmacy and related services through internal growth and through acquisition. In addition, a focus on quality, utilization, finance, and human resources will be imperative. The System Director of Retail Pharmacy and Services reports directly with the System’s Chief Operating Officer and collaborates with the Chief Business Development Officer, Pharmacy Service Line Director and the System Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and implement strategies of retail pharmacy practice and related services to ensure that the highest levels of safety and quality pharmaceutical care are delivered across the Penn Highlands Healthcare community pharmacy practice settings.

The System Director, Retail Pharmacy and Services will have a Degree in Pharmacy and a PharmD is preferred. Other considerations will include master’s degree in Pharmacy, Health Services or Business Administration or related field. The successful candidate will have several years' experience and documented record of success in a senior leadership level position over multi-store retail pharmacy operations.
