Is responsible for overseeing all medication procurement, storage, preparation and dispensing for the health system. The administrative director of pharmacy will ensure all pharmacies in the health system provide optimal services; facilitates safe medication use; meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization.
Current pharmacist license to practice in the state of Texas, in good standing
Masters of Science Degree in Pharmacy, MHA or MBA required; PharmD from an accredited school of Pharmacy preferred
A minimum of five (5) years in the Healthcare industry required
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
