Maxor National Pharmacy Services Company is a nationally recognized pharmacy management company with operations throughout the United States and manages the pharmacy operations at JPS Health Network in the DFW area. We currently have an excellent opportunity in Ft. Worth, TX, for a Director of Outpatient Pharmacy for its management contract within the JPS Health Network.
About JPS Health Network
In 1906, a hospital affiliated with the Fort Worth Medical College was opened in Fort Worth free to all accident cases and any others the medical authorities accepted. Thus the foundation for JPS Health Network was laid.
For more than 100 years, JPS Health Network has served the medical needs of Tarrant County families as the community’s public healthcare system. The facilities on Fort Worth’s near south side have grown to include an acute-care hospital licensed for 573 beds and an outpatient care center attached by a sky bridge across Main Street to a Patient Care Pavilion, a five-story acute care tower that includes the community’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.
Additionally, JPS has added community and specialty care clinics and 20 school-based health centers throughout the county to increase patient access to care in their neighborhoods. The majority of these health centers are located in low-income areas of the county accessible by public transportation (where available).
This position requires supervision and management of all operating aspects of JPS Health Network outpatient pharmacy operations, including a 24 hour pharmacy, correctional pharmacy, central fill and mail order operation, eight outpatient clinic pharmacies, and two class D pharmacies. Responsible for all operational aspects of the pharmacy departments, including but not limited to medication use, development of guidelines and protocols to direct appropriate prescribing, budgetary oversight of the department, personnel management, developing innovative pharmacy programs and ensuring positive customer service. Interested candidates should be registered pharmacists licensed to practice in Texas with pharmacy management experience and proven leadership skills.
Successful candidates will possess the following education and experience necessary for this position:
B.S. in Pharmacy and/or PharmD from an accredited university, MBA is preferred
Current, unencumbered licensure from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is required
Knowledge of outpatient operations, clinical services, 340B, Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements is required. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a retail pharmacy practice, including at least three (3) years in a leadership position, preferably in an outpatient retail pharmacy setting in a Disproportionate Share Hospital.
The ideal candidates possess strong clinical, financial, and analytical skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills
